As part of Reimagine the Canals, an initiative organized by the New York State Power Authority and the New York State Canal Corporation, nARCHITECTS is leading an interdisciplinary team in the design of a new bridge for pedestrians and cyclists that will connect the Empire State Trail across the Erie Canal at Lock 17, the tallest lock in the Erie Canal lock system. Beyond extending the trail to reach the City of Little Falls, the project includes enhancements to an existing park, including new planting, park amenities and furniture, lighting, and signage.
