Focusing on the concept of micro-living in cities, the exhibition "asks how these small space concepts can be applied across housing typologies; as well as whether a small space can only work for a single person or young couple, with minimalist minds." Small Spaces in the City: Rethinking Inside the Box will be on display from September 8th to January 27th at the Roca London Gallery, with free admission.
nARCHITECTS receives the 2023 National Design Award in Architecture
nARCHITECTS has received the 2023 National Design Award in Architecture from Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Selected by jurors representing a wide range of design fields, the National Design Award in architecture is given to an individual or firm for their contributions to the built environment that advance the understanding of our spatial experiences.
nARCHITECTS is on the winning team for 542 Dean Street HPD M/WBE RFP
The project, spurred from a Dept of Housing, Preservation, and Development M/WBE RFP, involves building affordable housing for low-income and homeless seniors in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. nARCHITECTS' will work alongside the developer-led team to "repurpose the city-owned 17,145 square foot parking lot into Park Edge, a deeply #affordable residence with onsite health and wellness, art, and recreational programs." Architecture Now: New York, New Publics closes this weekend
The Museum of Modern Art's exhibition Architecture Now: New York, New Publics will be closing this Saturday, July 29th. This is the last opportunity to see The Jones Beach Energy & Nature Center at the MoMA. The exhibition, showcasing public projects around New York city who 'envision a future in which architecture creates more accessible, sustainable, and equitable cities.'
Melbourne Design Week Kicks Off!
Melbourne Design Week begins this Thursday, May 18th! New York State Equal Rights Heritage Center is included in 'Productive Disruptions'. The exhibition explores "disruptive approaches that are often stigmatised as troublesome or uncooperative, yet they can be highly productive." We are proud to announce that the Jones Beach Energy and Nature Center won this year's Architizer A+ Jury Award being selected among entries from over 100 countries worldwide. This year's finalists and winners were chosen by the jury including such industry leaders as Lesley Lokko, Alison Brooks, Nader Tehrani, and Tom Kundig, as well as luminaries from beyond architecture like Karim Rashid (Karim Rashid), Yves Behar (Fuseproject), David Rockwell (Rockwell Group), and Aric Chen (Design Miami).

The Jones Beach Energy and Nature Center was awarded an AIA NYS Excelsior Honor Award in the New Construction category. The AIA NYS Excelsior Awards program showcases the best in publicly funded buildings, outdoor areas, and public art across New York State. WoodWorks Announces the Winners of the 2021 U.S. Wood Design Awards
The Jones Beach Energy & Nature Center was awarded the Wood in Government Buildings award. Juror Julie Hiromoto said “I love that it’s a net-zero-energy project, and the story about the landscape being reclaimed from almost ten acres of concrete surface parking lot. The building nestles nicely in the landscape and I love how the shadow patterns of the wood slats juxtapose with the vertical facade.”
